Escuela Integrada - Education the Door to Life
About Us

Andrew and Rebecca Loveall have been serving as missionaries to Guatemala since February of 2000. They are formerly from Rockford, Illinois. Their mission work primarily focuses on discipleship in two areas of Guatemala.

The first area of ministry they lead is in the colonial city of Antigua, where they founded the “Escuela Integrada de Niños Trabajadores” (“Integrated School for Working Children”), a school for extremely poor children the vast majority of which are from displaced Mayan families who have left their rural villages in search of work and opportunity. Each year approximately 200 students are scholarshipped through donations from the US. A breakfast / lunch feeding program is included in this school. Basic Christian values are taught along with an excellent education. There is a small medical clinic in the school which provides basic medical help to the families. A Guatemalan Christian psychologist provides counseling to students and families. The teaching and discipleship of Escuela Integrada directly touches the lives of more than 180 families.

February 2006 saw the opening a middle school in the Mayan village of Chuchuca Alto which is just outside the Mayan city center of Patzun. This school, Escuela Integrada - Chuchuca, is the first expansion of the Escuela Integrada program. Approximately 75-80 students receive a middle school education from this center.
